  1. Which Hosting do you prefer?

    Hi everybody.
Ever since I came across FSW, this place feels like home.
    My question is,

Which hosting company do you prefer?
    Shared and Dedicated.

Just want to know, which hosting you guys/gals prefer.

  3. I've stood by my host over at midPhase for over 3 years now, which has nicely supported the growth of my creative agency from scratch to where it is now. In fact, we recommend it to all our small business clients. Quite simply it has everything you'll ever need to start your first (or second, or third, etc) website at a really affordable rate starting at $7.95/month. Plus, their customer service puts them over the top in my books - quick and responsive, 24/7/365, by email or by phone. For the big boys, they offer premium packages and dedicated hosting solutions as well.

I don't want to sound like a commercial for midPhase, but if anybody is interested, feel free to find me over at creativebriefing.com to get some coupons for 2 free months and a domain for life.
  4. I've been using a dedicated virtual with MediaTemple for 7 or 8 months. They were kind enough to make me a part of their VIP program a couple months ago.

Haven't had any serious downtime, and everytime I have a question they respond within hours online and minutes by phone. I highly recommend them.
  5. I have been a customer of Total Choice Hosting for a few years now. They are a terrific company and whenever I have a problem they are right on top of finding a solution. Oh, and uptime? Not a problem at all!
  6. Shared grid server on Media Temple.
    Like printing money
  7. Ive been with MediaTemplates Shared Grid Server for nearly a year now and its been pretty god. I'll be upgrading to a dedicated virtual when i need to, probably stay with them a very long time. Highly recomended.
  8. Shane - Really??

Have you had much trouble with DH yet? They're fine at telling you why an email isn't working or something like that, but when it comes to anything more advanced (Important!), there is a lot of stalling etc. and totally useless answers I found.

I suppose with a company that size though, it's hit and miss. You're not the first person I've heard having a great time at dreamhost.
  9. I use shared at asmallorange.com and i like it a lot
  10. I would recommend Hostgator to anyone here. No downtime, not too pricey and the service is great!
  11. I'd personally throw PowWeb out there, even though they have a funny Control Panel called OPs. I've never had an issue with them, though.
